What is a Book Plate?

A book plate is a 3”W x 4”H decorative, personalized label that is affixed inside the front cover of the selected book. The book plate will remain in the book for as long as the book is part of the Library’s collection.

Greeting Cards

In addition, an attractive greeting card identifying you as the donor will be sent to the person you are honoring. Cards vary based on the milestone being celebrated. Samples of the card styles are shown below, or available to select at the library.  Currently, the following cards are available:  (2) All Occasion, (2) Birthday, Baby Shower or New Baby, Thank You, Retirement, Graduation, and Holiday Greetings.

How it Works
$15 up to $25:

When friends or family make a tax-deductible contribution of up to $25, accompanied by the attached order form, library staff will select a book from within the Library’s current collection for a specially designed book plate.

$25 or more: A tax-deductible contribution of $25 or more instructs library staff to purchase a number of books up to the value of at least half of your donation in the subject area of your choice. The remainder of your donation will be used for collection development in areas of need.

Give Your Greeting Card in Person

If you would like to present the card to the honoree yourself, please visit the Reference Desk with your completed order form and payment. We will provide you with a gift card and envelope for the upcoming celebration or holiday to add your personal greeting.
