Thursday, September 10 from 9 am to 10 am. This is a special hour before the library opens to the public that we have set aside just for senior citizens. Stop by to enjoy coffee and donuts, visit with other locals, browse for a book, and get a free library card (if you need one). Bring a friend or neighbor! We look forward to seeing you!
The Amelia Givin Library will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday, September 5, 6, and 7 for the Labor Day holiday weekend. No Amelia Givin Library items will be due, and no holds will expire on these days. The library will reopen on Tuesday, September 8 at 10 am.
The Amelia Givin Library has TWO anticipated openings on our Library Board of Trustees starting in January 2027. This volunteer group is responsible for the success of the library, both now and in the future. Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7 pm and participation on committees is necessary. Experience with other community non-profits a plus! If you would like more information or would like to be considered as a Board Candidate, please speak with the Library Director Cynthia Thompson, or email her
