Grand Re-Opening of Coffee Corner 2013
Thank you for joining us on Friday, December 13 to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of the Coffee Corner @ Fredricksen!
The Coffee Corner was open for extended hours that day and unveiled many surprises:
• A refurnished and redecorated lower lobby, Coffee House-style, with cafe furniture and tablet/ laptop-friendly arm chairs by the fireplace.
• All day hours on December 13, from 9:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Expanded selection of hot beverages and delicious baked goods for sale.
• Free coffee samples, giveaways and other surprises occurred all day.
The inspiration and crown jewel for the Grand Re-Opening came from two recently presented mobile custom-designed cabinets, used as the hub of the Coffee Corner. These two custom pieces of furniture were designed and constructed by Troop 54 Life Scout, Brandon Loss, as his Eagle Scout Project for Fredricksen Library. These mobile cabinets will continue to be utilized throughout the library during future programs and events, and make a gorgeous addition to the lower lobby.
We’d like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You!” to those who have supported Coffee Corner from the beginning—volunteers, patrons and staff, without whom Coffee Corner would not be the successful venture that it is today. We hope to serve you well in the future!
Also, special thanks to the Friends of Fredricksen and GFWC Camp Hill Junior Civic Club, who have generously donated their time and made monetary contributions for the purchase of new furniture for the space, so that this Coffee Corner upgrade would be possible.
Come meet our volunteer baristas! We’d love to see you at the “New” Coffee Corner @ Fredricksen!
