East Pennsboro Branch Library is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Children’s Program Specialist to present preschool Story Times, family programs, and other programs; visit preschools, schools, daycares, and community organizations; represent the library at community events, and coordinate Summer Reading performers and attendees on program days. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for children’s literature and strong communication skills to engage young audiences through stories, songs, and activities that create interactive, enjoyable experiences and inspire a love of reading and learning.
Schedule: 15 to 18 hours per week, with shifts scheduled in the morning through mid-afternoon. Weekday shifts (Monday through Friday) vary based on the library’s programming needs. Saturday availability is required: 1 to 2 Saturdays per month, increasing to 2 to 3 Saturdays per month in June and July for Summer Reading. Must also be available to represent the library at annual local events. This is a year-round position.
