We’re your neighbors - young, young-at-heart, working and retired who are dedicated to supporting the Fredricksen by volunteering, advocating for library funding and raising funds to help meet the costs of Fredricksen’s special programs and new equipment. Proceeds from our fundraisers are used in consultation with Library Staff to continue the programming and services offered and to help bring to fruition those in the planning stage. Special thanks to all those who donated books and media for our sales and to those businesses and individuals who donated items and services for our Silent Auction. In 2021, Friends were able to provide $21,082 of financial support to Fredricksen Library.
Join the Friends in supporting the many services and activities provided by Fredricksen. Kindly click on the link below to download your membership application. You can send a check in to the library, renew with online payment or stop by to make your contribution at the Reference Desk.
Friends also donate time and talent in support of Friends projects, and for that we are very appreciative. There are so many ways to be engaged! Please let us know if you are interested in any of the following:
- Sorting books for the sales (year-round) or working at donation station (once a month)
- Setting up/tearing down book sales or assisting at check out (twice a year)
- Securing items for the auction or assisting at pick up (once a year)
- Assisting with set up at the Playhouse or raffle baskets (once a year)
- Brewing and serving beverages and snacks at Coffee Corner (year-round)
We are happy to announce that an anonymous donor is again willing to donate $1,000.00 to the Friends if we receive 100 memberships by the end of March! Please consider becoming a Friend of Fredricksen Library and help us reach our goal!
