MEMORIALS

MEMORIALS, PLANNED GIVING and ENDOWMENTS

MEMORIAL GIFTS and OBITUARY LANGUAGE
Financial gifts in memory of a friend or loved one are a wonderful way to honor that individual, and to support the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library.  These unrestricted gifts ensure a legacy for the deceased, as well as funding essential to the viability of library collections and programs for future patrons. If there is someone who should receive notification of your gift, please be sure to include contact information; notifications do not include the gift amount.

If you would prefer to make a gift restricted to the purchase of books, you'll find more information here: MEMORIAL GIFT BOOK PROGRAM.

For obituary announcements, we suggest the following language, which can be tailored:

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library.  Please direct your contributions in memory of (the name of your friend or loved one).  Visit fredricksenlibrary.org to make online payment, or mail your gift to Cleve J. Fredricksen Library, 100 North 19th Street, Camp Hill, PA  17011.

PLANNED GIVING
You can leave your own enduring imprint on Cleve J. Fredricksen Library.  Planned gifts pay dividends that support the future of the Library. There is a planned gift to suit every circumstance. Bequests
• are easy to arrange
• will not impact your current lifestyle
• can be easily modified
We recommend that you consult with an estate planning attorney for advice tailored to your situation. The following language serves as samples of bequest language.

Specific Gift Language

I give and devise to the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library (Tax ID #23-1555412), located in Camp   Hill, PA, the sum of $___________ (or asset of _____________________) to be used for general support (or for the support of __________________________ fund or program).

Residual Gift Language

A residual bequest designates funds after your estate expenses and specific bequests are paid:
I give and devise to the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library (Tax ID #23-1555412), located in Camp Hill, PA, all (or _____%) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund or program).

Contingent Gift Language

The Cleve J. Fredricksen Library can be named as a contingent beneficiary in your will or personal trust if one or more of your specific bequests cannot be fulfilled:
If (insert name) is not living at the time of my demise, I give and devise to the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library (Tax ID #23-1555412), located in Camp Hill, PA, the sum of $ _________ (or ______% of the residue of my estate) to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund or program).

ENDOWMENTS
Endowments are truly the gifts that keep on giving.  Endowments are permanently invested by the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library, generating interest that is used for the purpose you choose.  A portion of the interest income is reinvested in the endowment’s principal each year, enabling it to grow and provide a long-enduring stream of revenue.  We encourage you to speak with your attorney or financial advisor about this option.

For questions and information about giving opportunities, please contact the Development Office at 717-761-3900 extension 244.
