PROGRAMMING
10:30 am: Edgar Card Swap - Bring your Edgar cards along to trade! Join us in Meeting Rooms A & B to swap cards and see all the ones people have collected. We will also have the special “Edgar-2026-100” card available!
10:30 am: Fantasy Coasters - With a little glue, a base, and some patience, you can have a personal handmade fantastic coaster for your table. Choose from old maps, terrible dragons, wizards, and more to decorate your coaster! Registration is required.
10:30 am: Video Game Keychains - Level up your keychain game with a 3-D printed video game keychain! Customize your accessory by painting your keychain any way you’d like with choices from various franchises. Registration is required for this program.
11:30 am: Padawan Training - Kids ages 3 to 12 are invited to learn the ways of the Jedi! No registration required.
12:15 pm: Cosplay Contest - Showcase your cosplay! We will have three categories for you to participate in, kids, beginner, and advanced. First and second of each category will win LoveBucks! Registration required to participate.
12:45 pm: Becoming Part of Our World - The Basics of "Mermaiding" - Gingersnap the Mermaid is a professional mermaid entertainer who will introduce you to the world of mermaiding, and take questions you may have! Whether you are looking to buy your first tail, are curious about the many parts of the world of mermaiding, or want to know how to safely model as a mermaid or water creature cosplay, this panel will help educate a growing fandom so they can safely and successfully dive into the mermaid community. Bring your questions, and something to take notes! Gingersnap (Jillian Breneman) is a local, professional entertainer with a background in theatre, film acting, modeling, children's education, live entertainment management, and small business.
1:00 pm: Kpop Book Chat! - Join authors Jessica Yoon (Kpop Demon Hunters: The Official Deluxe Junior Novelization, My Little Golden Book About K-Pop, BLACKPINK: A Little Golden Book Biography, Jeong Is Jeong, and The Legend of Ba-Dal) and Talia Tucker (Solo Stan, Rules For Rule Breaking, and the forthcoming Ghosted, Stray Kids: A Little Golden Book Biography, and A Little Sweet Treat Bakery) for a K-pop book chat! They will discuss their love of K-pop and how they got into writing both K-pop and non-K-pop-related books, then have an audience Q&A. Make sure to stop by their booth for author-signed books and merch!
1:30 pm: TARDIS Card Craft - “It’s bigger on the inside.” Hopefully you thought of the Tardis right then! Join us to make a Tardis-inspired card that is actually bigger on the inside! Registration is requested.
1:30 pm: Wand Making 101 - Calling all witches and wizards! Craft your very own wand at the Library in this workshop. We will provide the wands, clay, and paint for you to make the wand your own. Registration is requested.
2:00 pm: Totally Radical: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Environmental Justice - Join us as John Arminio from Comix Connection and Ian Boucher of the Dickinson College Library discuss Ian’s book about how “Turtlemania” paralleled environmental politics in the US.
2:30 pm: Jaws Perler Bead Craft - *dun, dun, dun, dun, dun* Something’s getting closer and thankfully this time, it’s just a library program. No boats required! Join us in recreating the Jaws poster with Perler beads. At the end, you’ll have a perfect piece of Jaws memorabilia! Registration is required.
3:00 pm: Lightsaber Fundamentals - Learn how to wield a lightsaber from the Central PA Jedi Sith Alliance! No registration required.

Visit our Youth Services Department for these exciting activities and guests!
Spider Duck Cosplay! - Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to pick up a "Spider Duck" from the Youth Services Department between Monday, October 12 and Sunday, October 18 and create a cosplay costume for it and return it to the library by 8:00 pm on Friday, October 23. The cosplayed ducks will then be on display all day at Comic Con! Children may pick up their ducks to take home between Monday, October 26 through Sunday, November 1.
Fun Face Paint! - Children up to 12 years old can stop by and get their face painted! Available from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm
Ryan "The Bug Man" - Visit Ryan "The Bug Man" Bridge in our Youth Services Programming Room as he showcases a variety of different insects and bugs! Ryan will be available all day in the program room to answer all your bug related questions!
Forgotten Friends Reptile Sanctuary - Visit the Youth Services Department between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm and meet some reptiles! Jesse will have a variety of critters available for you to interact with and learn about!

Counting Contest! - Guess how many spiders are in our jar! Available for children ages 3 to 12 only. The child with the closest guess will be announced the week after Comic Con. If multiple people tie for the closest guess, the winner will be randomly selected from those entrants.
Spider-Man Villain Scavenger Hunt - Venture around the Youth Services Department and see if you can find Spider-Man's villains! Three random winners will be selected from those who complete the hunt and will win a stuffed Spider-Man!
Spooky Saturday - Bosler is thrilled to participate in Downtown Carlisle Association's Spooky Saturday! Visit the Youth Services Department to pick up your treat.
CRAFTS, GAMES, AND ACTIVITIES
Starfleet Academy Trials - Could you be a cadet at Starfleet Academy? Test your skills in these trials! Get a team together and journey around the library trying your hands at a variety of tasks, including Star Trek trivia, combat simulation, and more. The team with the most points at the end of the day will win a Star Trek prize bundle!
Tabletop Gaming - We'll have a dedicated area for tabletop gaming available! Plus, we will have instructors available to teach you three of the most popular games, Settlers of Catan, Splendor, and Ticket to Ride!
Henna by Hephzibah - Get an authentic Henna Tattoo! Available on the first floor from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm and from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The line will cut off at 3:30 pm.
Roll for Loot - Roll our giant d20 and win a special prize depending on your roll! Attendees can only play once, but you might be able to give yourself advantage!
Green Screen Photo Booth - Visit our photo booth and transport yourself to your favorite fandom location!
Pick Your Side - Do you think Jar Jar Binks should have been in Star Wars or not? Could Jack have fit on that door at the end of Titanic? Are these easy questions for you? Well then, you’re ready for some tougher ones! Visit the circulation desk, look at some popular fan arguments, and then take a colored jelly bracelet to show off your side!
Potions 101 - Join our Potions class at Bosler to make some magical mixtures! Mix, scoop, and swirl together different ingredients to make some truly awesome creations! Parental supervision is recommended for young children.
Star Wars Scavenger Hunt - Some of our favorites from a galaxy far, far away have been scattered all throughout the library! Search throughout the library with your scavenger hunt packet and find all 12 places/characters. Your packet will contain clues as to who/what you might find. Record your finds and when you’ve completed your packet, turn it in at the Public Services desk to receive a prize! (You will be contacted when prizes are ready to pick up at the library)
Find Your Fandom - Create a signpost that will lead you to all your favorite fictional locations! Do you want to visit Tatooine, Hogwarts, or the Shire, we have a signboard for you!
Mockingjay Suncatcher - These suncatchers (hopefully) won’t catch fire but they will catch the light when hung up! It might not spark a revolution, but everyone (District or Capitol) can enjoy the finished product! Visit this station to cut out a Mockingjay outline and then turn it into a simple suncatcher!
Fallout Survival Guides - Life in a Vault-Tec vault is safe and comfortable! But, if for whatever reason, you’ve decided to open the door and explore the surface, please take a Vault-Tec survival guide for your last few days of life! Feel free to color it in as well to have one last moment of joy!
Paper Shai-Hulud - There’s something underneath your feet, best to copy the Fremen and try to walk without rhythm! But if you really want a sandworm hunting you throughout your home, make sure to stop by our station and construct one!
Pokemon Escape Room - Escape a facility controlled by Team Rocket! Choose your path wisely, encounter Pokemon, and either discover what Team Rocket is actually up to or escape as soon as possible!
BINGO Cards - Pick up a BINGO card at the door and work your way through Bosler Comic-Con’s programs, activities, vendors, and fun features until you can call out BINGO! Each BINGO card turned in will receive a gift bag and be entered in to win an extra special prize.

Ginergersnap the Mermaid - Jillian is a signed actress, model, and professional entertainer from South Central PA. She has stage, commercial, and full-length film credits. Jillian is also a professional entertainer known as ""Gingersnap the Mermaid"". She was crowned Miss Mermaid PA in 2021 under the Miss Mermaid International Pageant Program; a title which she still carried. She has since made appearances as a mermaid at businesses and events across PA. In the beginning of 2025, she published her first children's coloring storybook which she wrote and helped illustrate. ""Gingersnap the Mermaid: A Coloring Storybook"" shares stories of her adventures as a mermaid, and is filled with facts about different bodies of water around South Central PA, as well as other places she has traveled with her mermaid tails. She currently focuses on her business as a professional Entertainer, specializing in entertaining at events all over the Mid-Atlantic region as a mermaid, fairy, or pirate. When she is not doing that, she is taking other acting opportunities, dabbling in cosplay and modeling, or refining her skills in scuba diving and freediving. Riley Haring - Riley Haring is an illustrator specializing in concept art, comic art, and character design. He grew up in a bookstore, and this unique upbringing instilled him with a passion for reading, writing, and the art that ties it all together. He has illustrated two children’s books for that bookstore, Cupboard Maker Books, Mouse the Bookstore Kitten and Prince Fluffytail Chases a Dragon. He also self-publishes art and character design zines. Riley has also worked as a freelance illustrator for seven years. He hopes to one day publish more of his stories and art, and eventually develop a game based on those worlds.
