Book Reviews

Book reviews are held on the second Tuesday of the month from September through May in Foundation Hall. In October, Nan Cavenaugh will review Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder.   Brochures describing each month's book title and reviewer are available here or in the library.  

Children's Programs

Toddler Boy ReadingPre-School Pals Storytimes, Book Babies Storytimes, and Toddlertimes, are presented several times a week throughout the year.  Check our Events calendar.  Call or visit the library to register. 

Cultural Series @ New Cumberland

Presented by: LaMar Matthew, longtime active member of York Quaker Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends, a native York County resident, and lifelong student of history. The Friends of New Cumberland Public Library sponsor Quakers and the Underground Railroad in Foundation Hall, on Sunday, October 14th, from 3:00—4:00 PM.  No registration and no fee.


Monthly Book Sales

New Cumberland Public Library Book Sale

The Friends of the New Cumberland Public Library hold pre-owned book sales on the first and third Saturdays of each month.   Most hardbacks are $1.00 and paperbacks are generally $.50.  There are many nice children's books in mint condition.  Vintage jewelry, too. Stop In!
