BOOKS TOO! There will also be a used book sale going on at the same time so you can stock up on cookies and books at the same time! You'll find books, DVDs, music CDs and books on CD for all ages.

Holiday Open HouseStop by the Amelia Givin Library to celebrate the season! We will have treats, a children's craft, door prizes and a speaker explaining the library's ornate wooden Moorish fretwork screens.

Family Storytime FunA night of fun for families! Come hear holiday stories, make a handprint gift, play games and more. Pajamas encouraged. This is family bonding at its best. All ages are welcome. No registration needed.

Succulent Container CreationsPlantscapes By Design will provide hands-on instruction, a variety of colorful succulents and all the materials needed to create a unique succulent arrangement to take home. For ages 14+. $25 fee due at time of registration.

Bring your friends, family and co-workers to have some fun getting your hands dirty. Every planter will be unique and will contain succulents, soil, stones and optional figurines. Care cards will be provided to help you keep your planters beautiful (and alive) at home! Fee of $25 is due at time of registration.

Le Hinton Poetry NightNEW FOR 2020! Join us for our first poetry event of the year! Bring your poetry and your love of it! Open Mic will begin at 6 pm and the evening will close with a featured poet. January's feature is Lancaster poet, teacher and lecturer, Le Hinton. For ages 14+. No registration needed.

Le Hinton is the author of six poetry collections including, most recently, Sing Silence (Iris G. Press, 2018). His work has been widely published and was nominated for the Pushcart Prize by Pittsburgh Poetry Review for "Interview with Cotton (Part 1/Dreams)" and the Best of the Net by the Summerset Review for "Uses of Cotton (Visibility)." His poem “Epidemic” was one of only four poems chosen to be honored by The Pennsylvania Center for the Book’s Public Poetry Project in 2014, and his poem "No Doubt About It (I Gotta Get Another Hat)" was selected for inclusion in The Best American Poetry 2014.

There will be refreshments available. Doors open at 5:45 pm

Poetry events will be held at Amelia Givin Library every fourth Wednesday.
