Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I register? You can pre-register at the library or on Beanstack as early as May 1st.  If you register online, don't forget to pick up your bag of supplies (May 23 or later).
  • I don't have a library card.  Can I still participate?  Yes!  Everyone is welcome.  (If you want a library card, sign up at the front desk.)
  • Can my child who doesn't read yet participate?  Yes, books that are read to a child count.
  • How do I track activities?  You can keep track on paper (we'll provide the forms) or on Beanstack.
  • Do magazines, e-books, and audiobooks count towards my reading goal?  Absolutely!  Any format counts.
  • Do I have to attend programs?  No, attending programs is optional.
  • Do activities I did before the challenge's start date count? No, only activities completed from May 23-August 15, 2026 count.
  • How do I earn a chance in the Grand Prize Drawing? There are many ways!  You earn chances when you attend a library event, check out 5 books or magazines, and meet your weekly reading goals, and for each completed activity on the Reading Bingo Card!
  • Do all my Grand Prize chances have to be entered for the same prize?  No, each Grand Prize chance can be entered in the drawing for a different prize if you choose. For example, if you have two chances you can enter them both for Prize #3, or you can enter one for Prize #3 and one for Prize #1.
  • Will my reading goal be a number of books per week or a number of minutes per week?  It's your choice!  Choose either books or minutes when you select your goal at registration.
