Read to DogsFor children up to age 12 on Tuesday afternoons between 4:30 and 5:30 pm. Reading to a friendly dog allows children to practice their reading skills in a comforting environment to build their confidence. Registration is required. Boo SaleWednesday, September 16, 17, 18, 19. Visit the library lower level to browse through a large selection of used books, audiobooks, music CDs, DVDs and puzzles for all ages. Cash, check or credit card accepted.

Volunteer OpeningThe Amelia Givin Library has TWO anticipated openings on our Library Board of Trustees starting in January 2027. This volunteer group is responsible for the success of the library, both now and in the future. Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7 pm and participation on committees is necessary. Experience with other community non-profits a plus! StorytimesClick here to view the storytime schedule and age recommendations. No registration is needed to attend. Storytimes are held in the lower level, which you may enter directly using the downhill ramp from the parking lot. The lower level door is unlocked 5 minutes before start time. 

No book donations at this timeWe have run out of storage room! Please hold your large donations of used books, CDs, and DVDs until AFTER our September book sale (9/16-9/20). We can only accept small donations of a few items at this time due to lack of storage space. We appreciate your understanding. If your donations cannot wait, consider donating to one of our Cumberland County sister libraries.

Tutor.comTutor.com is for all ages and is available for free from Noon to Midnight, seven days a week! It provides access to live, online tutoring for K-12 and college students who need help with homework, studying and test prep. It is also for adults who need help with resume preparation and job searches.
