Calling all Pokemon Superfans! Meetup to play TCG or Pokemon Go. We will have Pokemon snacks, contests and other surprises. Whether you are just beginning your Pokemon journey or you are a seasoned trainer you need to be here! Feel free to bring along your device including tablets, Switches and phones. This program is for tweens AND teens ages 9-18. Parents may stay to play with their children. Adults without a child will not be admitted. Registration is required.

Our newspaper club gives you the opportunity to learn some journalism skills and meet new friends. You can choose from an array of assignments like staff interviews, book and movie reviews, breaking news coverage and more. This program is for Tweens and Teens ages 9-18. Registration is required.

Our new Book Dragons Club is your place to meetup with other teens who love to read and be creative. There will be a slate of programs under the banner of “Book Dragon Club” including writing programs, craftivism programs, open mic nights, social meetings, reading challenges, civic engagement and more all dedicated to celebrating teens and the Humanities. These programs are sponsored by the PA Humanities Council. These programs are for teens ages 13-18.
Express your activism through crafts! In each session we will talk about civic engagement and empowerment, and you will create something to express your own cause. This program is for teens ages 13-18. Registration is required and begins March 12.

Book Keepers meets monthly to discuss the best of YA literature. Each month you will get a book to keep. Some months we will all read the same title, some months we will all read our own choice and share our reactions. This program is for teens ages 13-18. Registration is required.
In a sprawling manor in the town of Mayflower Falls, the Dread family is hosting their yearly Thanksgiving dinner for their neighbors. The Dreads plan to serve delectable food catered from none other than Dread Steakhouse. This is your invitation to the dinner on Saturday, November 15.
To pass the time until the feast is ready, the guests will catch up on the latest neighborhood gossip and play hilarious party games. Alas, the last year has been filled with treachery, scandal, and deceit. Many of the neighbors may not get along. The Dreads hope everyone can exist in harmony – at least until dessert hits the table.
Ages: This program is for those in grades 6-12 only.
Location: The Learning and Book Sale Center at 45 W. Allen St., Mechanicsburg

As part of the New Cumberland Earth & Arts Festival, we are learning about the Aurora Borealis from speaker Lou Thieblemont. Also known as the Northern Lights, this naturally-occurring light display in the night sky is the result of solar winds. In olden times, the ancients were mystified, and historical battles were even impacted by their appearance in the sky. You’ll also learn about some sites and apps that alert you to the likelihood of seeing an Aurora.

Calling all Swifties! Can you feel this magic in the air?! Join us for the ultimate party, where you will sing, dance, and explore your way through the ten eras of Taylor Swift. Be ready for a fan-tastic event with a scavenger hunt, karaoke, bracelet making, costume contest, and more. Plus, Travis Kelce and football fans, we’ll be sure to include you, as well, with an epic trivia event. It’s been a long time coming!
