Calling all Pokemon superfans! Meetup to play TCG or Pokemon Go and trade cards. We will have snacks, contests and other surprises. Book Dragon Club: Meetup

7:00 PM - 8:30 PM in the Kunkel Creation Station

Our new Book Dragons Club is your place to meetup with other teens who love to read and be creative. There will be a slate of programs under the banner of “Book Dragon Club” including writing programs, craftivism programs, open mic nights, social meetings, reading challenges, civic engagement and more all dedicated to celebrating teens and the Humanities.  These programs are sponsored by the PA Humanities Council. These programs are for teens ages 13-18.                                   

Our meetup group offers a chance for teens take the lead in developing humanities programming at the library and make meaningful connections. We will make a Craftivism project at each meeting. This program is for teens ages 13-18. No registration required.

We are excited to offer a twice-weekly yoga class for adults and teens of all experience levels!

Register here! This class is led by Cindy Pimental. Each session is about 1 hour long. All levels are welcome and no experience is necessary to join the class.

Teen Gardening Workshop

Come help the Penn-Cumberland Garden Club with gardening projects around the library grounds and learn valuable landscaping skills and plant knowledge that you can use the rest of your life! We will spend the first hour outside and then move indoors for a garden craft project. One participant from each workshop will win a Longwood Gardens family admission pass!

We are excited to offer a weekly Chair Yoga class for adults and teens of all experience levels!

Register here! This class is led by Cindy Pimental. Each session is 45 minutes long. All levels are welcome and no experience is necessary to join the class.

Chair yoga is a gentle practice in which postures are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. Chair yoga classes typically target those who find a typical yoga session too challenging. It is also a great form of yoga for beginners or anyone who wants to focus on a gentle practice.
