Bring your creativity and drop in anytime between 1 pm and 3 pm to use our supplies and paper to do some DIY paper-crafting, including scrapbooking and card making. Project ideas will be available. We will also have a table for making cards for children who receive items from Caitlin’s Smiles. For all ages: under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

GO Cumberland Challenge! 2022 Get Outdoors Challenge

Let’s get outdoors this summer! Join us for Cumberland County’s first ever GO Cumberland challenge for all ages. Beginning June 1, register at fredricksen.beasntack.org, and then pick up a GO Cumberland booklet (one per family) at the library. Throughout the summer, get out and go hiking. Oceans of Possibilities! 2022 Summer Reading Program

Join us for our 2022 Summer Reading Program for all ages! Earn badges, prizes, and tickets for the grand prize drawings by reading and logging whatever you like and doing activities related to Oceans of Possibilities! Beginning June 1, register at fredricksen.beanstack.org and then stop by the library to grab your summer reading grab and go bag (for Adults and Children while supplies last).

Summer Concert on the Lawn - Trinidad & Tobago Steel Drum Orchestra

Get ready for an amazing line-up of performances during our 18th annual Summer Concert Series that will keep you moving and grooving all summer long. We will kick off summer with our annual concert with Trinidad & Tobago Baltimore Steel Orchestra. Join us for a dynamic evening as they bring a touch of the Caribbean to the library. This stunning group, named Baltimore's official steel drum band, are masters of the steel drum. Their vivacious tropical music rounds out a lively show for all ages! All concerts are free to the public. Beverages will be sold during the events or you can bring your own refreshments with you! Make sure you bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the music in the great outdoors. Concerts are held on the west lawn next to the lower parking lot. No registration necessary. Sponsored by the McCormick Family Foundation. (Rain or shine! The concert will be moved indoors if needed.)
