A Tia Taylor Mystery

A Tia Taylor Mystery

Get ready for a wild ride in the second installment of A Tia Taylor Mystery, crafted by the incomparable Dr. Shauntey James!

Register for A Tia Taylor Mystery

Our favorite characters have hit the bright lights of Las Vegas to unravel yet another thrilling mystery at an event celebrating Dr. Raven Johnson's latest work. But wait, there's more: Tia's got a new beau that Aunt Ray can't stand (seriously, she'd rather watch paint dry), and to thicken the plot, he might just be the murderer. As if that wasn’t enough drama, Jane, the notorious villain from the first book, seems to be lurking nearby, her ankle bracelet pinging at the venue, even though she’s nowhere to be seen. Amid the chaos, Aunt Ray is determined to pull off a flawless book signing. Has Aunt Ray bitten off more than she can chew by hosting yet another mystery event? While the first event had its hitches, every other one has been seamless and financially successful. Buckle up: the doors are about to swing open, and we might need to make a dash for the hills!

Dr. Shauntey James has written nonfiction about female offenders in Current State of The Female Offender: Recommendations for Advancing the Future and crime fiction in Murder: Secrets Among Colleagues. You may have seen her during one of several appearances on Good Day PA or presenting at a local bookstore; perhaps you’ve heard her Podcast, Women & Justice. Dr. Shauntey James’ research focuses on sexual assault, gender identification, and women within the criminal justice system. She has presented her work on the local, national, and international levels. Dr. James is an author and professor of Criminal Justice at Penn State Harrisburg.
