About 20 of these positions are professional librarians and the rest are library assistants, clerks or custodial support. Most positions are part-time. Each library is an independent, non-profit institution and staff are employees of the local library. The library system's administrative office staff are employed by Cumberland County government.

We're hiring a part-time Reference Librarian to provide reference and reader's advisory services, assist patrons in using computers, process requests, answer questions, and assist at circulation desk as needed. 11-18 hours per week, including one evening per week and one weekend per month. $11.00 - $12.00 per hour depending on experience. Master’s degree in Library Science required. Public library experience preferred. Will consider applicants currently enrolled in their last semester of a MLS or MLIS degree program.
