September is Library Card Signup Month!Enjoy the benefits of membership with a Cumberland County Library System library card.  If you are eligible for a card at no charge, you can get a Temporary Access Code that is good for 30 days. By signing up online, you can start using our research databases immediately.  You may also place up to two holds with your Temporary Access Code.  To get a library card, you must visit your library and complete a library card registration form.

You can also request a Digital Library Card using our online form. This card will give you access to our databases and eBooks/eAudiobooks.

You can get a library card at no charge if you live or pay property taxes in Pennsylvania.

Certain services are limited to Cumberland County residents.

What identification do I need?

To get a library card you must present these items to your local library location:

  • A valid photo identificaton (driver's license or state-issued ID card with current address)
  • Two documents (from this list) to prove your identity and addresss.
