Cumberland County libraries could receive a welcome boost in funding next year.
During a meeting Wednesday, the county commissioners voted 2-1 to increase the county library tax from the current 0.166 mills to 0.250 mills. The increase will generate an additional $2.3 million in revenue, said Keri Finkenbinder, senior accountant for the county.
