2025 GO Cumberland - Get Outdoors Cumberland!
How Get Outdoors Works
There are fifteen “markers” – wooden posts with a unique etching attached – that are hidden in local and state parks in Cumberland County. Visit your local library to register for the Get Outdoors program, and you’ll receive a guidebook, called an Sketchbook, and a rubbing sheet that you can use to record your discoveries. In the Itinerary, you’ll find directions to follow that will help you locate each marker.
When you find the marker, you’ll see the etching with a 4-digit code. You can use your rubbing sheet and rub over the sheet with a crayon or pencil to reveal that marker’s artwork and code, but make sure you remember the 4-digit code by taking a picture or writing it down. You can enter the code online using the Beanstack app to receive credit for that hike. See the Rewards and Prizes page in the Itinerary or on the website to find out about entries for the grand prize drawing and to receive a participation prize. All hikes must be recorded no later than Thursday, August 21 to receive a participation prize and earn entries into the grand prize drawing.
