The Friends Book & Media Sales are held on the first and third Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Foundation House located at 9th and Sharon Streets, next to the Library. Sale proceeds help support the library.
The Friends depend on your donations of new and gently used books and media to make our sales a success. Donations are accepted at the Foundation House on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon and during sale hours. For large donations (more than 5 medium-size boxes) please email the Friends at newcumberlandfriends@gmail.com or call the Library to arrange a time to drop off your donation. Please do not drop off materials at the Library.
The Friends appreciate your donations of the following items in good condition:
- Books – hardcover and paperback
- Audiobooks on CD
- DVDs
- Music CDs
- Vinyl Records
- Computer Games & Software
- Puzzles (no missing pieces)
Due to space limitations we cannot accept:
- Encyclopedias
- Textbooks
- Journals
- Newspapers
- Old Magazines (more than 12 months old)
- VHS Tapes
- Cassette Tapes
- Catalogs
- Brochures
- Items in poor condition including moldy, mildewed, torn or soiled items.
The Friends are also accepting donations of jewelry to be sold to benefit the Library. Donations may be dropped off at the Foundation House during book donation hours.
