Make a lasting gift to support the library system's mission to meet the cultural, educational and informational needs of our community. Bequests can be made in the form of cash or property, or a percentage of the remainder of an estate. The latter often provides more planning flexibility.
Making a Bequest
The following language is one way to make bequests to the Cumberland County Library System and its member libraries:
I hereby give, devise and bequeath to the Trustees of the [_______________________], a nonprofit corporation, organized and operating under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the sum of [$___ or 'the rest, residue and remainder of my estate'] to be used for the general purposes of the [_______________________]" or for [a particular program of your choosing]".
