THE BOOKERY

The Bookery is the Friends of Bosler’s used book store located in the historic original library, now called the East Wing. The Bookery accepts donations of used books, movies, games, and more, and sells them to the public for excellent prices. Over the years, the success of The Bookery has allowed the Friends of Bosler Memorial Library to be one of the largest single financial donors to the Bosler Memorial Library and its programs.

QUILT RAFFLE

the 2023 quilt and the raffle winnerWe want to congratulate Mary Fetrow, our 2023 quilt raffle winner! Mary was thrilled to win this year’s quilt. Mary had a special vision for the quilt.

She and her siblings have many family quilts; she wanted this quilt to go to a home where it was truly needed. Mary consulted with the Friends and the Library and it was determined that the best way to do that was to reach out to her church pastor. Through her church, a family was identified who would benefit and love her quilt for years to come.

black and white quiltThe 2023 quilt was a queen size quilt called the “Star Spin” sponsored by M&T Bank. Quilt tickets were donated by Bosler’s Upstairs Stitchers, downstairs.

All proceeds from the Friends of Bosler’s annual quilt raffle benefit the Bosler Memorial Library and its collections, programs, and services. The winner is drawn each year at the Friends November Board meeting.

You can view the 2024 quilt hanging at the top of the grand staircase next time you visit the Library. The 2024 quilt has a Bargello Argyle pattern. A Bargello is defined as having the appearance of movement within the quilt and Argyle is the diamond pattern of two or more colors. The quilt is full of blues, purples, grey, tan, and cream colors. The 2024 quilt is sponsored by M&T Bank. Raffle tickets for the quilt can be purchased at The Bookery.
