Photo of librarian working The Cumberland County Library System is a great place to work. The system and its local libraries employ over 160 people. About 20 of these positions are professional librarians and the rest are library assistants, clerks or custodial support. Most positions are part-time. Each library is an independent, non-profit institution and staff are employees of the local library. The library system's administrative office staff are employed by Cumberland County government.

Part-Time Development Coordinator

 

Simpson Library is now accepting applications for a part-time Development Coordinator.

 

Summary

Part Time (20-25 hours per week). Non-Exempt.  Includes evening and weekend hours. Plans, directs, coordinates, and implements development activities to maintain and increase funding for the Joseph T. Simpson Public Library. Develops and manages all elements of the library’s giving campaigns. Tracks and measures the success of fundraising activities. Establishes and maintains working relationships with library board members, donors, and key stakeholders. Identifies and develops new opportunities for giving. Position functions under direction of Executive Director and Business and Individual Solicitations committee.

 

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, journalism or a related field and one to three years’ experience in fundraising or marketing, preferably for small non-profits or service-based organizations, or any combination of training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.

Bosler Memorial Library in Carlisle, PA seeks a Public Services Assistant. This position provides excellent customer service while performing a wide range of circulation and patron related functions. Typical duties include but are not limited to: staffing the circulation desk, checking various library materials in/out, issuing library cards, assessing and adjusting fines and fees, maintaining patron accounts for accuracy and providing direct assistance to patrons. These duties must be successfully undertaken following library procedures and with minimal supervision. 20 hours per week. EOE.


Bosler Memorial Library in Carlisle, PA is seeking a candidate for the position of Youth Services Assistant. This position works with the Youth Services Coordinator to plan and implement library services to youth, including programs for children from birth through elementary school and their families and caregivers. These services include in-house events and services as well as outreach services and programs. 20 hours per week. EOE.


The Amelia Givin Library is seeking a part-time Children's Services Coordinator.  The Children's Services Coordinator is responsible for planning all library services for children age 0 - 5th grade. Approximately 20 hours weekly, evening/Saturday hours required. Position begins August 31, 2017. Bachelor's degree and relevant experience with children preferred.


Cleve J. Fredricksen Library in Camp Hill is seeking an individual dedicated to creating a positive experience for each library customer.
