Photo of librarian working The Cumberland County Library System is a great place to work. The system and its local libraries employ over 160 people. About 20 of these positions are professional librarians and the rest are library assistants, clerks or custodial support. Most positions are part-time. Each library is an independent, non-profit institution and staff are employees of the local library. The library system's administrative office staff are employed by Cumberland County government.

New Cumberland Public Library is seeking a part-time Children’s Circulation Assistant dedicated to creating a positive experience for each library customer and providing public services focusing on youth and families in our library. 

The Cumberland County Library System (CCLS) seeks a development professional to assist member libraries in the management of local fundraising campaigns; work with the Library System Foundation Board to increase local financial effort; coordinate and oversee the grant application and management process; and other projects delegated by the Executive Director. This is a full-time position with benefits. All applications must be submitted online by October 22, 2017.
