June 3 through August 6 This year’s Summer Reading Club: Dig into Reading! is packed with exciting performers and programs! This 9 week program will feature reading activities, with programs for children preschool age through 6th grade. Magic, Science, Zoo America and many other wonderful events are planned, with a family picnic rounding out the fun.
Teen DIY: Hobbit Party - If You Like It, Don't Put a Ring On It Monday, June 24 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm Delve Beneath the Earth to learn the ways of Hobbits and Dwarves. Your choice DIY projects: The One Ring, Hobbit feet, Dwarf beards and much more. Hobbit snacks and special prizes await the brave of heart.
Kiner’s Korner is a testimony to Bob and Thelma Kiner. As founding members and visionaries of the library, the Kiners strongly believed that a community library was essential; for over 20 years, they volunteered their time on Tuesday evenings, making children feel welcome and valued when visiting the library.
Book Sale Bonanza! Stop and shop at Hooked on Books! The Friends will be offering many book sales this summer for you to choose from. In addition to the weekly Tuesday/Thursday book sales (throughout the summer) and third Friday book sales, a big book sale is scheduled for July 16,17,18 and 19.
The purpose of the Friends of East Pennsboro Library is to focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs; and to encourage donations, gifts, endowments, and bequests.
