         February 2017            Cleve J. Fredricksen Library E-Newsletter

Saturday, March 25th ~ 6:30 pm to 10 pm
West Shore Country Club

In 2017, the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library will celebrate 60 years of nurturing a love of literacy via a variety of formats: print, auditory, visual, and experiential. To commemorate the significant milestone, we are hosting a celebratory event at the West Shore Country Club, sponsored by the Greg and Susan Sutliff Foundation. The evening will feature an original score written by 15-year old, Zev Malina, to Robert McCloskey’s award-winning children’s book, Blueberries for Sal. Zev will read the book aloud while accompanied by Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra Maestro, Stuart Malina and five members of the Symphony. The evening will also feature live and silent auctions. Proceeds from the event will be used to augment our collection of print and digital materials, support programs and make building enhancements.                     Other celebratory events will be held at the library throughout the year, but we hope you can join us for this intimate evening event that will combine the love of reading with a unique symphonic performance.
Ticket price: $125. For additional information, or to reserve your seat, please contact Pamela Rhoads at 717-761-3900 x244.
