Consistent with Governor Wolf's order, Pennsylvania Libraries are open with limitations in order to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Even though physical libraries in Cumberland County are open, the Cumberland County Library System offers an array of online services that can be accessed with a Cumberland County Library System Digital card, allowing you to stay safe at home.

For community members who do not currently have a library card, use the form on this page to register for a Digital Access Card with the Cumberland County Library System. We will set up your account and we will email you as soon as possible with a barcode and PIN to access our online services. (This is not an automated system. Staff members will set up your card as soon as they are able.)

This card has the following specifications:

  • It is temporary and will expire December 31, 2020.
  • Get access to online services, including downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks.
  • It cannot access Kanopy, our online streaming video platform.
  • Visit any Cumberland County library to get a full library card. A new barcode will be assigned.

If you already have a library card with our system, please do not use this form to get a new card. If you are having trouble accessing our services because you’ve forgotten your PIN, you can reset your PIN provided you have an email address associated with your account.

Look below the form for a sample of the online resources you can access with a Digital Access Card!
