Native Americans and Film
Sunday, December 1; 2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the Community Room
Native Americans have been involved in film since that media's inception. In an interactive presentation, Dr. John Truden will explore evolving ties between the American film industry and Indigenous communities in the United States, beginning with Wild West Shows and ending with modern Indigenous media like Reservation Dogs. Dr. Truden is the Postdoctoral Fellow in Native American and Indigenous Studies at Dickinson College’s Center for the Futures of Native Peoples.
