There is a massive gender imbalance that persists in STEM-related fields, and it's important that we give girls a chance to learn and thrive in a supporting environment. The Girls in STEM program series @ the Kunkel Creation Station hopes to inspire girls to development and maintain an interest in STEM-related topics and future career fields.

Help your little one prepare for a lifetime of learning by participating in Fredricksen Library's Kindergarten readiness program. Children entering kindergarten in the fall of 2020 will do kindergarten readiness activities, hear stories, meet other future students and make early friendships! Registration is open. Join us as we welcome Bright Star Touring Theatre this Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Their powerful production will introduce audiences to poignant events and notable names of the Civil Rights Movement. This acclaimed show focuses on the tumultuous years between 1955 and 1968 and shines light on important milestone in our history, including: the Montgomery Bus Boycott, the SCLC, Brown v. Board of Education, the Sit-In Movement, the Freedom Riders, the March on Washington, and the assassination of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. Viewers can expect to meet important figures and hear inspiring songs of the era.
