The Science of Sound

In an amazing multi-media presentation, Caryn Lin literally transforms sound using her five-string electric violin and a myriad of modern technology! This program will take you on a journey from the classical days of Bach to today's techno-wonders by using modern techniques, including looping and other effects to produce unique and dynamic soundscapes. Audiences are introduced to the many scientific concepts involved in the creation of live music. Using technology, three-dimensional sound waves become visible, bringing music to life before the audience's very eyes!

Making Space for Pollinators

Join the Whitaker Center’s mobile lab, Whitaker on Wheels, and get to work on your own design, learn the engineering process from start to finish, and take home a prototype of your project! Budding engineers will get to see what it’s like to be an engineer. Space is limited, please register beginning June 3.

Marvelous Mazes and Runs

For children ages 8-12
A maze is a path or collection of paths, typically from an entrance to a goal. Come join us as we build and try to solve runs and mazes, including Lego mazes, marble runs, and free-built mazes. We may even try to navigate a robot through a maze. Registration begins June 3.
