Project SHARE helps children gain access to books, food

CARLISLE — It often be difficult for get young children to read books and enjoy learning, especially during the summer months.

That’s one of the reasons Project SHARE, 5 N. Orange St., has its summer literacy program in the Carlisle area said Deb Brownawell, warehouse coordinator at the nonprofit. The program aims to not only provide area children with access to reading materials but also give them breakfast and a hot meal for lunch three days a week.
