Mindfulness Matters: Concentration

1:30 pm – 3:00 pm in the Community Room, Lower Level

Join Andrea Minick Rudolph, MA FAPA and learn how to realistically apply mindfulness techniques in your daily life, which have been scientifically proven to increase your overall wellness. In the last of our eight mindfulness sessions, we are focusing on making a daily commitment to mindfulness. Uncluttering the mind through meditation and mindfulness, we view life more openly. We are able to speak with respect and kindness, act responsibly, work diligently and passionately, and make a conscious effort to practice awareness. When we make a daily, concerted effort to accept things as they are, understand what we cannot control, and work diligently to change what we can, we remove the obstacles of negative, divisive thinking and grow to embrace the world as an endless opportunity to appreciate life more fully. We lead happier, healthier lives! No registration needed.

OVERVIEW - This series of seminars leads participants along the path of mindfulness and meditation, specifically the practical application in our daily lives. These techniques are scientifically proven to increase memory, enhance focus, lower blood pressure, decrease the stress response, and increase overall wellness. With mindfulness practices, we become kinder, more compassionate, and able to make responsible choices to live happier, healthier lives. Each seminar stands alone as an important topic for lifestyle change while serving as an integral building block in the structure of the overall program. The Daytime Academy is made possible by a grant from Harsco Corporation, honoring the memory of Derek C. Hathaway and his passion for life-long learning.
