Mindfulness Matters: Engaging the Senses

1:30 pm – 3:00 pm in the Community Room, Lower Level

Join Andrea Minick Rudolph, MA FAPA and learn how to realistically apply mindfulness techniques in your daily life, which have been scientifically proven to increase your overall wellness. In the seventh of our eight mindfulness sessions, we are focusing on mindful awareness. Meditation can be practiced in everything we think, do, and say. Mindful awareness calls us to listen deeply and pay attention to the needs of body and spirit by engaging all of our senses. We can nurture others compassionately by nurturing ourselves. We gain a sense of possibilities we never dreamed existed, and, even when we are afraid, we find we can trust in our ability to think clearly. No registration needed. Last mindfulness class on May 6. The Daytime Academy is made possible by a grant from Harsco Corporation, honoring the memory of Derek C. Hathaway and his passion for life-long learning.
