Gardening with Nature: The Invasive Spotted Lanternfly

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the Community Room, lower level

Fredricksen Library has teamed up with Penn State Master Gardeners to bring you a series of workshops that will show you how to garden with nature.  Penn State Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by Penn State Extension to provide research-based home gardening information to the public. The Spotted Lanternfly is a new invasive insect first found in Berks County in 2014, and the population continues to spread to surrounding counties.  Join Master Gardeners, Maggie & Raymond Pepe, to learn key features in its identification, signs and symptoms on host plants, and measures to take to prevent its spread in this informative session. Workshops are $5.00 each. Please register by calling 1-877-345-0691. Walk-ins are accepted if space is available. In partnership with the Master Gardeners, this year's series will meet the third Tuesday of every month through October.
