Gardening with Nature: Rain Gardens

7:00 pm 8:00 pm in the Community Room, Lower Level

Fredricksen Library has teamed up with Penn State Master Gardeners to bring you a series of workshops that will show you how to garden with nature.  Penn State Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by Penn State Extension to provide research-based home gardening information to the public.

Rain gardens are an attractive and sustainable way to intercept and filter storm water on your own property before it enters storm sewers, streams, or rivers. Join our Cumberland County Master Gardeners, Maggie and Lois, to learn about creating and planting your own rain garden, and using native plants to enhance pollinator and wildlife habitat.

Cost: $5.00. Registration is now open at

More topics offered on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Registration for all programs is now open. To Register Contact: Penn State Extension, Cumberland County 1-877-345-0691.
