Indie Film & Chat: Trail Magic (chat at 7:00 pm only)

FROM THE USA:  This month, we are working in collaboration with Longwood Gardens, The Appalachian Trail Museum and Keystone Trails Association on a Countywide Community Read of the book Grandma Gatewood's Walk. The film and discussion, with director Peter Huston (7 pm showing only), will tell even more of the inspiring story of the spunky woman who saved the Appalachian Trail.  The story of Grandma Gatewood will inspire viewers of all ages by illustrating the full power of human spirit and determination. No registration necessary.


Peter Huston, Director: After finishing studies at Ohio State Universities’ School for Film, Peter attended Boston University where he received his degree in broadcasting and film from the School of Public Communication (SPC’81) . A Freelance shooter for Evening Magazine, in 1989 co-founded Horizon Teleproductions.  In 1992 Horizon produced“WorldScape” a 13 part PBS series hosted by Walter Cronkite . In 1993 the award winning series “The Visionaries”, hosted by Sam Waterston was launched. Peter has been a producer, director, and series production manager (See IMDB) . In 2010 FilmAffects, LLC was established to pursue documentary and factual program production. As an Emmy nominated director and senior producer Peter has continued to produce programming for PBS, Discovery Channel, Hallmark, Odyssey, Home & Garden, MTV, Outdoor Life, Fox, and has co-produced a feature film and done scores of corporate and educational projects.
