Thursday, April 18 @ 4:30 pm - STEM Club: Recycled Robots - For grades K - 5 - FILLED

Friday, April 19 @ 10 am - WEE BUILD - For ages 2 - 6 - Come build with us! Through play, your child discovers shapes, learns how blocks can be balanced, observes how they fall, and discovers what fits together. These playful explorations are the foundation of later mathematical and scientific thinking -- plus it's fun! Drop in. No registration needed.

 

 

Wednesday, April 24 @ 6:30 pm - Family Storytime - Theme: DUCKS! Come to the library in your pajamas and listen to dazzling duck stories, sing songs, create a spring craft, and get a rubber ducky to take home. The entire family is welcome. No registration needed.

 

Saturday, April 27 @10 am - Flower Power - For ages 3 -10 - Have you ever wondered why flowers exist and how they grow? Join us for this fun, educational and hands-on program all about flowers. We will be reading the Longwood Gardens Community Read selection, The Reason for a Flower by Ruth Heller, and doing activities centered on flowers and how they grow. Participants will be entered into a drawing to win Longwood Gardens tickets. Limited to 30 participants. Registration required.
 
 
 
Friday, May 3 @ 10 am - WEE BUILD - For ages 2 - 6 - Come build with us! Amelia Givin Library has received new building blocks and toys through a grant from Commonwealth Libraries. Through play, your child discovers shapes, learns how blocks can be balanced, observes how they fall, and discovers what fits together. These playful explorations are the foundation of later mathematical and scientific thinking -- plus it's fun! Drop in. No registration needed.
 
 
 
Saturday, May 11 @ 10 am - Dads and Donuts - Bring your dad or an adult friend to the library to enjoy a story, eat yummy donuts and make a memorable Mother’s Day gift for the special lady in your life. Ages 2-10.  Registration required.

 
 
 
 
Monday, May 13 @ 6 pm - Ready, Set GO! - Kindergarten ReadinessIs your child starting kindergarten this fall? From May through August, come once a month to do fun activities that will help prepare your child for kindergarten. An adult helper must attend with the child. Registration is required and limited to 20 participants. We encourage you to attend all program dates, if possible. They are:
  • Monday, May 13 from 6 - 7 pm
  • Monday, June 10 from 6 - 7 pm
  • Monday, July 15 from 6 - 7 pm
  • Monday, August 12 from 6 - 7 pm

Saturday, May 18 @ 10 am - Meet our Community Helpers - Join us for a fun morning meeting the helpers in our community. We will meet a police officer, sheriff, EMS staff, firefighters and a special Susquehanna Service Dog. For ages 1-12. Registration required.

 

 

Wednesday, May 29 @ 5:30 pm - Family Storytime - Theme: Spaceships - Come visit the library in your pajamas and listen to soaring stories of space, sing songs and dance.
