The Grins & Grins Comedy Show is a fast-paced variety show that incorporates magic, ventriloquism, whip-cracking, "daring" feats of balance, circus skills and more to create a family-friendly show that is WAAAY more than just another juggling act! Ray brings incredible circus skills to the show, all the while trying to rein in Erin and her wacky antics. Together, they pack in a maximum of madcap madness that is guaranteed to please families, children and adults of all ages. All ages welcome; under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Grab your spurs and journey with us to the Wild West, where a legendary bank-robbing outlaw is back in town, about to strike again! After the Sheriff mysteriously vanishes, two young kids must saddle up to foil the great heist—but not before stopping a runaway train, escaping an abandoned mine shaft and discovering how a mysterious piano can play an “instrumental” part in putting a rotten cowboy back behind bars. Throughout this absolutely wild adventure story, volunteers from the audience will help us explore the fascinating science behind chemical reactions, acids and bases, combustion, air pressure, inertia and more. In an amazing multi-media presentation, Caryn Lin literally transforms sound using her five-string electric violin and a myriad of modern technology! This program will take you on a journey from the classical days of Bach to today's techno-wonders by using modern techniques, including looping and other effects to produce unique and dynamic soundscapes. Audiences are introduced to the many scientific concepts involved in the creation of live music. Using technology, three-dimensional sound waves become visible, bringing music to life before the audience's very eyes! All ages welcome; under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. You've read great books this summer. Now come to the library dressed as your favorite book character! We will gather at the library and then parade through the building and outside grounds.
