System Headquarters Office

The Cumberland County Library System (CCLS) consists of 7 federated local libraries, 1 branch facility, a system headquarters office and an associated non-profit Cumberland County Library System Foundation. The library system provides service to more than 260,000 people in Cumberland County and a small portion of Franklin County.

The System Headquarters Office provides services to its member libraries in the following areas:

  • Information technology
  • Technical services (acquisitions, cataloging, processing of library materials)
  • STAR outreach services to older adults
  • Training services for staff and board members
  • Administrative and financial services, including fundraising support

Children's Learning Garden at Bosler Memorial Library to open in spring

Finishing touches are expected this spring to the Children’s Learning Garden on the Bosler Memorial Library campus in Carlisle.

That was the word last week from Executive Director Jeffrey Swope in the lead-up to an open house scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20.

New Addition at the John Graham Library is Ready for Books!

After several months of waiting, anticipation and labor, the new addition at the John Graham Library is finally open and ready to put to good use. According to Library Director Mary Schoedel, she can't wait to fill the room with books and  other materials.

John Graham Library Addition nears completion

The Christmas season is looking a lot brighter this year around the John Graham Library. The new addition that began to show life to the rear of the property in early fall is nearly complete. If all goes well, the remaining work could be done by Christmas and after that library director Mary Schoedel is anticipating the new children's wing to be operational in early 2024.
