Library Duck Derby is popular fundraiser

Nearly 300 rubber ducks raced down Branch Creek during the Shippensburg Public Library's fourth annual Duck Derby Saturday, which is held each year in conjunction with the Bloom Festival.

Board votes to rename library for both Jeff & Jo Anne Coy

In May, Jo Anne Coy committed a significant pledge to the Shippensburg Public Library, meeting the requirements to rename it. It was Jo Anne’s intention to rename the library the Jeffrey W. Coy Public Library of Shippensburg to honor her late husband.

Cumberland County library thriving, opens unique 'Business and Career Center'

At a time when libraries across the state and country are cutting hours, closing and cutting collections, one Cumberland County library is thriving.

At first sight, it is somewhat traditional, but Fredricksen Library's director, Bonnie Goble, said this library is different.

‘A Universe of Stories!’ learning program to land at John Graham library

The John Graham Library’s Summer Learning Program, “A Universe of Stories!” gives people of all ages the opportunity to read great books, go to fun events, and win prizes during the summer.  It runs from May 25 to Aug. 10, and there are programs for children, teens and adults.

John Graham Library’s Online Auction is underway

The John Graham Public Library’s Online Auction began June 1, and ends at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 15. It benefits the building fund for the planned addition to the library’s Parsonage Street facility.
