In honor of National Blood Donor Month, give blood and inspire others to do the same! Donating blood saves lives! #PAForward #HealthLiteracy
What is National Blood Donor Month?
According to the American Red Cross, winter is “one of the most difficult times of year to collect enough blood products to meet patient needs.” This is due to the craziness of the holiday season, bad weather, and people becoming ill with the flu and other seasonal illnesses. National Blood Donor Month has taken place each January since 1970 and serves to remind us that donating blood saves lives.
