Children’s Book Writers Critique Group
The Children’s Book Writers are a group of dedicated writers working on developing stories for young readers. At each meeting, they share in critiquing one another’s works-in progress. Manuscripts are submitted by email one week prior to the meeting. Group members are expected to critique other members’ work, just as theirs will be critiqued. Everyone benefits from the critiques that other members provide.
The group focuses on picture books, chapter books and early readers.
They are affiliated with the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI), Eastern PA Chapter. However, it is not necessary to be a member of SCBWI to participate in our critique group.
The group is open to adult members only and meets the third Saturday of the month, from 2 – 4 p.m., at New Cumberland Public Library.
