Employment Opportunities Expo 2016

10:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Fredricksen Atrium, Ruggaber Community Room and Small Meeting Room, Lower Level

The Cleve J. Fredricksen Library is pleased to announce its Second Annual employment event, the Employment Opportunities Expo. This Expo, the only event of its kind in the Cumberland County Library System, is an opportunity for the patrons we serve to utilize the library and community resources to assist in overcoming the obstacles to obtaining gainful and enduring employment.

During the Expo, participants can obtain information and assistance from local agencies, educational institutions, businesses and library staff.  We will be conducting Career 101 Workshops throughout the day to introduce and enhance skills necessary for obtaining employment, such as resume-building, completing an online job application, use of social media, and interview tips and tools.

Local agencies will be on hand throughout the building with information and assistance to help patrons connect with service providers, essential to overcoming personal obstacles on the path to employment.

There will also be representatives from local Educational Institutions and Career Schools, who can offer information on how to choose a career, plan for an alternate career, further your education, or assist in finding sources of funding to start the educational process.

Finally, the Employment Opportunities Expo will offer an in-house Career Fair, featuring businesses and staffing agencies, local to global! All in attendance will have a representative available, and will be prepared to discuss their list of available jobs.
