Fredricksen Library is a quiet reprieve and a place where I can study and concentrate away from the interruption of the workforce/office environment – a rare setting to find.
10 years ago my family moved to the West Shore and I was thrilled to find Cleve J. Fredricksen Library was as wonderful as the library in our prior community. We soon became regulars at Fredricksen. My daughter was on the teen board and a volunteer during high school. I visit often and get all of my books there. Fredricksen has always gotten me what I want even if it is not easily available. I don’t understand the concept of buying books!
The library has also been a valuable resource for my small baking business. When I was interested in learning more about gluten free baking, Paleo diet and vegan recipes, the library was the first place I went to seek information.
The Fredricksen Library uses ideas to improve the Library system and organization of the material within the facility. The staff is always available to help answer people’s questions. The Library offers different kinds of activities and programs. Excellence is always Fredricksen’s goal.
We live in Dauphin County and specifically come to Fredricksen – not just because it’s the biggest and the best or for its collection or the ILL (in Cumberland County and statewide) but for its programs and its people. We love that at Fredricksen almost anything can happen. We’ve made pinterest-worthy crafts, seen foreign movies, ridden a flight simulator and encouraged our godkids as they learn to read, then gone home with an armload of mysteries to read and DVDs to watch. Fredricksen is Simply the Best.
The Fredricksen Library is where I go when I want the next book in a series and know I can get it quickly. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve grown to love the English Literature section the best and I can still go down and visit the kid’s section, just in case I feel like reading an old favorite short story. The displays are wonderful too!
THANK YOU for your stories!
