The Business & Career Center @ Fredricksen (BCC) is now offering workshops, programming and technology assistance centered on all stages of career goals, with a focus on enhancing employability for all. Entrepreneurs and local small businesses are also in focus as we partner with SCORE (Service Corp of Retired Entrepreneurs) to offer workshops that assist both individuals and businesses in many key areas.

Walk-in Session (Bring your own computer)—Accounting software can be daunting…take the guesswork out of your QuickBooks functions. The BCC will be offering an open “Question & Answer” session with professionals who can assist you, beginner to intermediate QuickBooks functions can be covered. No registration necessary.

Mock Interview Sessions - BCC HUB - Register now, by appointment only!
An HR professional will be available for individual 30-minute appointments to share tips and walk through a mock interview with individuals who would like to improve their interviewing skills.
Pre-registration is necessary, and interview candidate must provide the industry/profession for which preparation is requested.

The First Step: Starting and Planning a Small Business

This workshop will help aspiring entrepreneurs to begin the process of successful business ownership including evaluating business ideas, developing a business plan, and exploring financing options.
Attendees will learn:
Unique lifestyle requirements involved in owning a business.
How to assess the feasibility of their business idea.
Differences between business organization structures.
How to develop a business plan.
How to obtain financing.
How to market their product or service.
The applications and licenses needed to start their company.
This program is presented by the Small Business Development Center at Shippensburg University in conjunction with the Business & Career Center @ Fredricksen and the Downtown Camp Hill Association. Registration is free and available online.
