The Bosler Memorial Library reopened the building for in-person services on Monday, March 1. The Bookery reopened on Tuesday, March 2.
Below you will find information about different aspects of the library’s COVID-19 protocols.
Based on the recommendation by the CDC and PA Department of Health, face masks are not required for visitors who are fully vaccinated. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear a mask while in the building. Those who cannot wear a mask due to a medical issue and children 2 or younger are not required to wear a mask.
For visitors to the Youth Services Department, the Bosler Memorial Library is strongly encouraging the use of face masks while in the department for the comfort of all families visiting the Library. Complimentary face masks are available at the entrance of the Youth Services Department.
The library will follow any federal, state, or local requirements regarding access. The Library reserves the right to limit the number of people in the building, the size of groups (both formal and informal), and the amount of time patrons spend in the library.
Furniture has been rearranged to allow for better social distancing. We ask that you do not move the furniture. The puzzle and game tables have been removed. Puppets have moved out of the public area, but will still be available for checkout. In addition Bosler staff will be routinely monitoring the library, cleaning and sanitizing high-touch areas and ensuring patrons adhere to social distancing.
If you have materials to return, you may return them in either our outside book drop, or the book drops located on the first floor at the Public Services desk or on the second floor at the Youth Services desk.
Checking Out Material
There will be both staffed circulation stations and self-checkout stations. Social distancing barriers have been placed at the service desks and protective shields have been installed at each of Bosler’s service desks. Checking out items will be a contactless process. When checking an item out please follow any staff instructions.
Curbside pickup has been a success, and we will continue to offer curbside pickup after the library building reopens.
Current editions of newspapers that are traditionally kept behind the desk will now be kept in the collection with the other newspapers.
Internet service will be available at a limited level. Wi-Fi access is still fully available.
The Library will continue to provide tax forms until tax day. Tax forms may also be requested for curbside pickup.
The small group study room is restricted to no more than 2 people at one time. The room will be cleaned between each use. The tutor room is limited to one person at a time. The room will be cleaned between each use.
Please note: The Board and administration of the library will continue to monitor the progression of the COVID-19 virus in its service area and make changes to services and access as needed to ensure the safety of the public and library staff.
