Monday, March 25 @ 6 pm - Family Storytime - This month's theme: RAINBOWS! Come to the library in your pajamas and listen to colorful stories, sing songs and make a rainbow craft. Bring the whole family. No registration is needed.

 
 
 
Friday, April 5 @ 10 am - WEE BUILD - For ages 2 - 6 -  Come build with us! Amelia Givin Library has received new building blocks and toys through a grant from Commonwealth Libraries. Through play, your child discovers shapes, learns how blocks can be balanced, observes how they fall, and discovers what fits together. These playful explorations are the foundation of later mathematical and scientific thinking -- plus it's fun! Wee Build sessions are scheduled for the first and third Fridays of the month through May! Drop in. No registration needed.  

 

Saturday, April 13 @ 10:30 am and 11:30 am - Annual Easter Egg Hunt -  For ages 1 - 10 - Bring a basket and search for eggs on the library lawn and exchange them for a goody bag and a free book. Register early! Don't miss out on this fun tradition. Two time slots available: 10:30 am or 11:30 am. Registration required. To register, stop by, call (717) 486-3688 or email amelia@ccpa.net  

 

Thursday, April 18 @ 4:30 pm - STEM Club: Recycled Robots - For grades K - 5 - Each month we learn something new about Science, Technology, Engineering or Math. In April, come make a robot out of recycled materials in this special Earth-Day-themed STEM Club. Limited to 20 participants Registration required.

 

Friday, April 19 @ 10 am - WEE BUILD - For ages 2 - 6 - Come build with us! Through play, your child discovers shapes, learns how blocks can be balanced, observes how they fall, and discovers what fits together. These playful explorations are the foundation of later mathematical and scientific thinking -- plus it's fun! Drop in. No registration needed.

 

 

Wednesday, April 24 @ 6:30 pm - Family Storytime - Theme: DUCKS! Come to the library in your pajamas and listen to dazzling duck stories, sing songs, create a spring craft, and get a rubber ducky to take home. The entire family is welcome. No registration needed.

 

Saturday, April 27 @10 am - Flower Power - For ages 3 -10 - Have you ever wondered why flowers exist and how they grow? Join us for this fun, educational and hands-on program all about flowers. We will be reading the Longwood Gardens Community Read selection, The Reason for a Flower by Ruth Heller, and doing activities centered on flowers and how they grow. Participants will be entered into a drawing to win Longwood Gardens tickets. Limited to 30 participants. Registration required.
