Curbside Holds Pickup

STEP 1:
Place your holds online using the library catalog or call Amelia Givin Library at (717) 486-3688. For instructions on how to use the library online catalog, click here.

STEP 2:
We will send you a notice by email or phone (like we always have) when your holds are ready to be picked up. Please wait until you have received notification by email or phone to come to the library.

STEP 3:
There is no need to make an appointment to pick up your items. Simply come to the library during regular hours. When you arrive at the library (either along the curb on Church Street near the library side entrance, or at the rear parking lot), call the library at (717) 486-3688. We will bring your items out to you in a plastic bag. Staff are not permitted to hand items directly to you or accept returned items. You will need to exit your car to retrieve your items. If you are using curbside pickup, please place any returned items in the 24/7 book drop bin located next to the rear parking lot. All returned items are quarantined for 3 days before getting checked in and re-shelved. Items will remain on your account during this time, but will NOT accrue fines.

STEP 4:
Enjoy your items! A receipt with return due dates will be included with your items.

Curbside pickup is available until 15 to 30 minutes prior to closing time.
       
Monday through Thursday 10 am - 5:30 pm
       
Friday                                   10 am - 3:30 pm
       
Saturday                               10:15 am - 1:45 pm

 

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Fines and fees cannot be paid at curbside pickup
  • If you are returning items, please place them in the book drop bin located next to the rear parking lot (ALL library items may be placed in the outdoor bin - DVDs, music CDs, video games. etc. - not only traditional "books.")
  • No book donations are being accepted at this time
