Fredricksen’s Bus Trip to the National Book Festival in D.C.

Join us as we travel to the 13th annual National Book Festival, organized and sponsored by the Library of Congress and held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., rain or shine. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to meet with famous authors, mingle with other readers and writers and find out more about literary events and services.
Price includes: round trip motor coach transportation from Camp Hill, boxed continental breakfast served en route to Washington, D.C., free time to explore and participate in the National Book Festival, and gratuity for bus driver. The bus departs Camp Hill at 7am. Cost: $48.00 per person. Register in person or online beginning June 1!

Gardening with Nature: Water-wise Gardening

Penn State Master Gardener, John Shellenberger, teaches you about designing your garden to use plants and gardening techniques that can help you save on water usage in the garden not only during the hot, dry spells in summer but also year-round. Monthly Blood Drives at Fredricksen

Donating blood may be one of the most important things you’ve ever done. Just one pint of your blood can save as many as four lives. Come and donate in Fredricksen's lower parking lot (Walnut Street). The Central PA Blood Bank will be here the first Friday of every month. It is a safe and easy process which takes approximately 45 minutes. Generally, anyone age 16 or older, weighing at least 110 pounds and in good health, can donate blood. Twisted Stitchers

Trinidad & Tobago Steel Drums

Trinidad & Tobago Baltimore Steel Orchestra starts the 2013 Summer Concerts on the Lawn with a dynamic evening as they bring a touch of the Caribbean to the Fredricksen Library. This stunning group, named Baltimore's official steel drum band, are masters of the steel drum. Their vivacious tropical music rounds out a lively show for all ages. Don't miss the vibrant kickoff to this year's Summer Concerts on the Lawn Series! (Rain date: Thurs., June 20 at 7:00 pm)
Free Dental Day

On June 14th, Camp Hill Dentists Brice Arndt and Robert Kolts will host a day of free dental service at their office located at 3975 Trindle Road, Camp Hill, to anyone in need of such care. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first served basis. Business sponsors will donate a portion of the total value of the services provided to Fredricksen Library.
