Chicks with Sticks
Thursday, October 7, 7-8 pm
Register at the library or by calling (717) 766-0171
This is a learn-to-knit group that meets on the first Thursday of the month from August to June in the Tutoring Room on the Upper Level. Knitting needles and yarn are provided for beginners. Bring your own project or choose from a variety of easy patterns supplied by our knitting teacher. If you don’t have your own project, there are several projects that anyone knitting or crocheting may support. The Bethesda Mission needs hats, scarves, and afghans for the homeless. The Linus Project collects afghans for those who are sick. Afghans of Appreciation are afghans that are given to Veterans Hospitals for our wounded service people. We are also working with Churches of God Conference knitting hats, scarves, and afghans for local farmworkers and their families during the winter. Help keep the children warm! |
