Murder Mystery Dinner 2011
Teens celebrated the completion of the Summer Reading Program with our end-of-the-summer Murder Mystery Dinner. Teens watched the performance and then had to pin point the murderer. Most enjoyable was the interactive hula dancing part of the show!

Indoor Bocci Ball
Teens enjoyed playing Bocci Ball on an indoor safe court using indoor safe balls!  They also won some great summer reading program prizes.  Thanks for attending!

Name That Tune!
A small but enthusiastic group of teens gathered for Simpson’s “Name That Tune” event. With the help of a laptop and iTunes, we belted out songs from the last decade and these young adults were quick to identify everything we threw at them. As always, our teens were well nourished with yummy refreshments throughout the program! Make sure to join us for our next fun-filled teen event!

Rock Band Game Night
Rock Band Game Night definitely rocked. Over a dozen teens tried out Guitar Hero World Tour on Simpson's newly acquired video gaming systems.  Songs ranged from those of Michael Jackson to the ever-popular "Eye of the Tiger" with frequent renditions of "Living on a Prayer" tossed in for good measure. When not rocking, rolling, or singing, people played chess, cards, and, of course, ate. More game nights will follow in the future and suggestions are always welcome. Teens playing video games.

Michelangelo Painting Night
Wanting to share Michelangelo's experience, teens gathered together and painted angels on the 'ceiling' (aka the underside of a table). Paint didn't drip on their faces, but boy, did the arms get tired!

Some teens took their creative outlet in a different direction and opted to test out some street art!  They attempted to write in the graffiti style of lettering, noting that the secret was in the shading.

Making Gocks
Throw together a group of teens, white tube socks, yarn, tacky glue, buttons, sequins and assorted old costume jewelry and look what happens! The teens from the Mechanicsburg Parks and Recreation's Summer Adventure Camp spent a fun hour creating some very original 'gocks' - goth sock puppets! One gock sported several long black skinny braids and most wore Beatles-style floppy haircuts. Imaginations ran rampant and a good time was had by all.  Goth Sock Puppets
